Hey, it’s Fede!
Being easy to find online can be one of the most important factors for the success of a startup.

This is where the importance of SEO comes in.
Today's book: SEO 2025: Learn search engine optimization with smart internet marketing strategies by Adam Clarke
For those who don't know, SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, and it refers to the techniques used to improve a website's visibility on search engines, increasing the likelihood of appearing in the top results when users search for specific terms.
Today, I’m sharing an easy-to-digest checklist you can use to improve the SEO of your websites and/or platforms.
Let’s start!
Pssst: every time you see a🥗 it means the takeaway is very hot!
How to choose the best keywords:
Keywords are terms users search for to find content. For website owners, choosing the right keywords is key to improving search engine visibility.
The steps to choose them:
Leverage Your Competitors: There are tools designed to analyze your competitors and see which keywords they are using: SEO Review Tools Keyword Density Checker. 🥗
Use AI Tools like ChatGPT for brainstorming: Utilize AI tools to identify keywords. Be mindful of bad suggestions, which can be quite common. You can also find similar keywords using tools like LSI Graph.
Create a Google AdWords Account: Use the Keyword Planner tool to see how much traffic certain keywords are getting on Google: Google AdWords.
Track Keyword Performance: After selecting and adding keywords to your site, use tools like Ahrefs to track the performance of the keywords you've chosen.
Set Up Your Website by Following These Steps:
Use clean, user-friendly URLs: Use URLs like yourproduct.com/service instead of something like yourproduct.com/page=56734. 🥗
Avoid using images for navigation: Always use text for the navigation menu. Images are not readable by the search engine and will be ignored in search results.
Include all the important links on the homepage: Place links to key pages on your homepage to make it easier for the search engine to understand what content should be indexed.
Optimize content around keywords: Build page content around the keywords you've chosen. Pay special attention to H1 titles, meta descriptions, and image names.🥗
Site speed matters: Improve speed with techniques like image compression, enabling browser caching, lazy loading, and using services that reduce latency by bringing servers closer to users. Run speed tests here: Pingdom Speed Test.
Make your site mobile-friendly: Around 70% of Google users access sites via smartphones, so ensure your website is responsive.
Include an XML sitemap: Add a sitemap.xml file in your site’s directory to help search engines better understand your website structure. Create one here: XML Sitemaps.🥗
Check for errors: Make sure there are no errors like 404 pages. Use tools like W3C Validator to check for errors.🥗
Add your business to Google My Business: This improves local search visibility and helps Google understand your business location and services.
Keep your website updated: Regularly update your website with fresh content and ensure it is functioning properly.
Connect your site to Google Analytics: Monitor your site’s performance and track changes using Google Analytics.
SEO and ChatGPT: How Does It Work?
In reality, SEO for ChatGPT is very similar to that of Google, as ChatGPT relies on Google (or other search engines/social media) for data collection.
But, there are a couple of tips I would like to share with you:
1. Use Long-Tail Keywords🥗
What it is: These are more specific search phrases, such as “how to start a tech startup in USA” instead of just “tech startup.”
Why it helps: Long-tail keywords are less competitive and more ChatGPT “friendly” making it easier for your content to rank when people search for detailed topics.
2. Get Backlinks from Authoritative Sites🥗
What it is: A backlink is when a trusted website links to yours.
Why it helps: ChatGPT trusts a lot the sites with backlinks from credible sources, which helps your website rank higher and get more visibility.
That’s all for this week! I hope you find it helpful, and I’m looking forward to receiving your comments and feedback!
